Home: Sandra Wood’s Health Story

This is a story about a sudden worsening of my health in October 2009 and the success I’ve been having in rebuilding it.  It’s only in looking back 2 years that I can see the journey – at every turn it seemed that the solution might be at hand, but it turns out that it wasn’t just one approach that helped.  Even getting a diagnosis eluded us for a long time.

From mainstream medicine in the best hospitals on University Avenue to naturopathic practitioners, alternative physicians, osteopath, integrative cardiologist, biological dentist, immunologist and biontologist.  All great practitioners, but agreement between them varies a lot, as you can imagine … understandable when treatments range from drugs and surgery to chelation and energy medicine.

The idea of building a healthy terrain (some say milieu) and helping the body repair itself emerged from a lot of sources. Now I feel that I’m in a healthy, positive, mostly upward, spiral, although there are plateaus along the way that can be discouraging.

The story starts on October 8, 2009, the day I fainted 4 times and ended up in emerg.

Thanks to everyone for your help, and thanks for reading my Healthy Spiral blog.
